Quick answer: The latest MotionTrack6 update makes pre-employment movement screening more reliable and easier to act on. Live guidance helps candidates get into the right position before recording starts, results now show exactly where limitations are exercise by exercise, and a one-page report makes results easy to share with hiring and safety teams.

Key takeaways
  • Live guidance helps candidates get into the right position before recording starts.
  • Results show exactly where limitations are, exercise by exercise.
  • A one-page report makes results easy to share with hiring and safety teams.

Many workplace injuries begin well before the day they happen, when someone is placed in a role their body isn't ready for. MotionTrack6 is built to catch that risk early. A short movement screen shows how a person moves before they start, so recruiters and employers can make better placement decisions and act before strain turns into injury, and injury into a WorkCover claim.

Our latest update makes that screen more accurate and its results easier to act on.

What's new in MT6

A placement decision is only as good as the data behind it. When candidates screen themselves remotely, that data depends on them getting into the right position without a consultant in the room. The update tackles this directly.

  • Guided positioning. A colour-coded indicator shows whether the candidate is set up correctly, and the countdown only starts once they've held a good position for three seconds.
  • Clear coaching. On-screen and spoken prompts explain exactly what to adjust. If someone can't get into position within 20 seconds, the exercise is recorded anyway and flagged, so nobody gets stuck.
  • Easier to follow. Thicker tracking lines, a mirrored camera view, and reference images of the start and full-range positions for each exercise make the screen simple to follow on any device.

The result is a more reliable baseline, so recruiters can match candidates to roles based on how they actually move.

Catching risk before it becomes an injury

Knowing that someone has a limitation is useful. Knowing where it is makes it actionable. Each exercise now shows its own Functional Impact level, from Minimal to Significant, alongside the overall MotionTrack6 Score. That points employers to the specific area, such as a shoulder or the lower back, that may need conditioning, adjusted duties or a follow-up before the person starts.

Every exercise also carries a Baseline Confidence rating (High, Medium or Low), so reviewers know how much weight to give each result. Incomplete captures are flagged separately from genuine zero scores, and coaching notes appear only where they're useful.

Fewer injuries, fewer claims

Workplace injuries cost businesses in lost time, higher premiums and WorkCover claims, and they cost workers far more. Acting on accurate screening data at the start of employment is one of the most practical ways to reduce that risk. It also gives employers a clear record of how someone moved when they started, which is useful if their role or health changes later.

The PDF report is now a single page with the MotionTrack6 Score, exercise results and notes, so it's easy to share with hiring managers and safety teams.
